Family Child Care (FCC) Unauthorized Care Notice
Fairchild is very fortunate to have outstanding individuals on base that provide high quality child care in their homes. These FCC Providers have gone through a rigorous application process and thorough orientation. They maintain high quality care in their homes by acquiring additional training throughout the year and are consistently inspected by the FCC
Coordinator. These providers are able to receive assistance in supplementing their businesses by participating in the USDA food program and borrow items
to establish their business from the FCC Resource Center.
To be able to provide child care in base housing for more than ten hours per week and on a regular basis, you must be a licensed FCC Provider. Continued non-compliance with this regulation can result in a loss of
housing privileges.
You may contact the FCC Program at 247-5336 if you notice someone providing unauthorized care and to gain more information on how to become a FCC Provider. This not only will enhance child care opportunities at Fairchild, but will help ensure the health and safety of our children.
