A wealth of information awaits you at the Base Library. Our collection includes books for all ages, DVDs, CD-ROMs, magazines, audio books on tape, CD, and MP3, music on CD, CLEP and DANTES study materials, new releases and special collections.
All military members and their families, military retirees and their family members, DoD civilians and their family members, DoD contractor personnel working at Fairchild, and on-base students are eligible for library accounts. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must provide identification and sign the application.

Chocolate for the Spouse's Soul

Join us for chocolate and coffee and chat about your favorite books, military life or whatever else might be on your mind. We will be working on some origami projects while we chat. No one available to watch the kids? No, problem, we’ll have a craft activity to keep them occupied. This is a FREE event and there is no registration required. Internet Searching Basics

Getting too much information from the internet is often a problem, so learning how to control the number of websites that you retrieve is a good way to control frustration and information overload. Join the Library Mar. 6 for an informational class to help get the most out of your internet experience. In this class, we will explain some useful techniques to help you do this. Universal Class
The Air Force Library Program is pleased to announce the introduction of Universal Class Library Edition, a powerful new online continuing education service designed specifically for use by the patrons of public libraries.

Transparent Language
Fairchild AFB now offers Transparent Language Online, an effective and engaging language-learning program for libraries and their patrons. The program is accessible via the Internet and will be available to USAF Active Duty, Air National Guard, Reservists, Retirees and their respective family members. AF Civilian employees and contractors who are eligible to use a USAF library are also eligible. All users must register in person at a USAF library and can then use it anywhere, anytime.
Transparent Language Online is packed full of pronunciation, speech, grammar, writing, and vocabulary building lessons for over 80 languages. Preschool Story Time
Families with children under the age of six are welcome to come out to the Library every Wed. starting at 10 a.m. for Preschool Story Time. This is a great activity to get those little ones out of the house and best of all it's FREE. Each week the Library staff puts together a new theme of stories and crafts that your little one will enjoy.
