Note: Although we're experiencing staff draw-downs, we want to make sure you, our customers, know how important you and your pets are to us. To ensure that you're getting the appointments you need for the health of your pets, please try to call as far ahead of any "known" visits (vaccines, check-ups, etc.) as soon as possible.

(Appointments have priority on Clinic days)
* Annual vaccinations
* CONUS/OCONUS health certificates

* Diagnostic testing and treating for Zoonotic diseases
* Heartworm testing and prevention

* Helpful information and literature on PCSing
* Other minor health concerns may be seen on a time available basis only.

 

Base Registration

Fairchild AFB Instruction 31-105 requires that all pets residing on base, including Geiger Heights, have a current Rabies Vaccination. As well as an annual deworming.

In addition:
All dogs are to be vaccinated yearly against the following diseases:
* Distemper
* Parvo
* Adenovirus 2
* Parainfluenza
* (Bordetella recommended)

All cats are to be vaccinated yearly against the following diseases:
* Rhinotrachetitis
* Calici
* Panleukopenia
* Chlamydia Psittaci

It is not a requirement to have your pet(s) vaccinated at the base Veterinary Clinic, but you are required to bring updates of any vaccinations to the clinic to keep your files updated.

 

Appointments

Pets are seen by appointment only. You can make an appointment by calling 247-2583, Monday through Thursday. No show policy is strictly enforced.
The Veterinarian is available on Tuesdays only. If your pet is seriously ill or injured or requires surgery, you will need to take it to an off-base veterinarian.

After hours: there is a Pet Emergency Clinic (24 hrs) located on the corner of Ruby and Mission, downtown Spokane, 326-6670.
