Get Creative with Wood!

WoodWomanGettyImages-1091363172 At Fairchild we've got women woodworkers too!

Our Wood Craft Center is considered one of the best in the Air Force. It's a woodworkers paradise!

But what if you've never worked with wood?

There's nothing physically demanding about woodworking and you can build at your own pace. The basic concepts are simple to learn, yet it's a hobby that will always remain fresh and challenging as your skills evolve. Check out the March classes...

Power Tool Woodworking - miter saws, table saws, drills, sanders are all available plus many more.

  • Intro to Fine Wood Working / March 16 - 20 / 10 am - 1 pm or 6 - 9 pm

Digital Woodworking - the CNC machine makes precision cuts on flat pieces of wood using a router.

  • CNC Routing / March 23 - 26 (4 nights) 6 - 9 p.m. / $130

Wood Turning - involves using a lathe to create bowls, spindles, and other rounded projects.

  • Ice Cream Scoop Wood Turning / March 13 / 6 - 9 p.m. / $45

Woodworking is FUN! It's really cool and amazingly satisfying to make something with your own hands. Come and unplug yourself for a few hours and plug in a power tool!
