What are you reading this summer?

The Library's Summer Reading program will make the library a great place for YOU and the kids to read, learn, and discover. Research shows that reading over the summer prevents summer reading loss for our children (yes, this is a real thing). Studies also indicate that students who read recreationally outperform those who don't. It's that simple. Reading makes you smarter. But research also tells us that both YOU and your kids read more when you can choose materials based on your own interests. Your library is committed to supporting lifelong learning and educational enrichment for your family.

With the "Dig Deeper" theme this summer, the goal is to encourage readers of all ages to dig below the surface and discover new things: everything from the science of the everyday, to envisioning the future, discovering other cultures, or peering into nature and the environment.

And to keep you motivated to read all summer, our library program offers incentives, for children, teens, and adults. Just log the minutes you read or the activities you complete every week and...
