Why did we name our new fun place Alder House?

The Alder tree grows from western Montana to the Pacific Ocean. It is the most common and abundant hardwood tree species grown in this part of the country. The Alder grows very fast which has always made them popular with the timber industry. Its' wood is used for furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and is a culinary favorite to smoke salmon. We chose the name Alder House because of this rich history in the Inland Northwest. The Enchanted Treehouse is surrounded by trees and we like to imagine that they are Alder Trees!

Join us on March 2 for the Grand Opening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be free food, music, games and FUN! Alder House is located on the backside of the Red Morgan Center facing the Exchange and Commissary.
