The Fairchild AFB Education and Training Center supports the career and educational pursuits of military members, veterans, dependents, and civilian government employees. Educational advisors assist with choosing the right degree path, finding the right school, and funding opportunities for both academic and technical career paths. Resources are available to aid individuals in utilizing the following education benefits most effectively:
- Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) & Civilian Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP)
- Financial Aid Resources – Scholarship & Grants
- CLEP/DSST Exams – Schedule with Park University at (509) 244-2020
- Enlisted Commissioning Programs
- Veterans Affairs Benefits – GI Bill, VET-TEC, Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E), etc.

- Spouse/Dependent Benefits
- SkillBridge Opportunities – Internships, Apprenticeships, & On-the-Job Training
The following tests are provided and administered by the Test Control Officer (TCO), Mr. Jeffrey Cheney:
- WAPS – Weight Airmen Promotion System (Promotion tests are given during promotion cycles starting at 0800; please schedule through your assigned WAPS monitor)
- AFOQT – Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (Given once a month)
- TBAS – Test of Basic Aviation Skills (Scheduled as needed based on schedule of member and TCO)
- TAPAS – Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (Scheduled as needed based on schedule of member and TCO)
- EDPT – Electronic Data Processing Test (Given once a month)
- DLPT – Defense Language Proficiency Test (Test given on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 0800)
- DLAB – Defense Language Aptitude Battery (Test given on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 0800)
- AFCT – Armed Forces Classification Test (Test given on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 0800)
- EPQT – Enlisted Pilot Qualifying Test (Scheduled as needed based on schedule of member and TCO)
All tests require scheduling through Mr. Cheney. WAPS test are scheduled and distributed through each squadron or group WAPS monitor. Mr. Cheney can be reached at (509) 247-2258 or
