About the Pools

The 92 FSS at Fairchild AFB, has two pools. The Aquatic Center is located indoors at the Fitness Center. The Outdoor Pool is located off Mitchell Drive across from Heritage Park, and is typically open from the last week of June through the end of August, while the weather is warm. At either pool, you can swim laps, join a class, or celebrate with friends at a pool party. Keep calm, have FUN and come for a swim!

Winter Private Lessons

Registration begins December 16th at 0930


This winter, the Aquatics Center will be offering PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS Monday - Thursday for 30 minute sessions between 1830 and 2000. Classes will be offered January 2nd - February 27th. Registration must take place in person and is ongoing until classes are filled. Cost is $20 per half hour. Cash or check is accepted. Payment is due at time of registration. Private lessons are instructed on a one - on - one basis. However, 2 children of similar abilities may participate together.

Aquatic Center Pool Rules - we take water safety seriously!

The pool is not to be used until lifeguards are in their stations and give the O.K.
Children 10 years of age and under must be under direct supervision of an adult (18 or older).
Children 11-13 years of age who cannot meet the swim test requirements must be under the direct supervision of an adult (18 or older). Swim requirements are a 25-meter swim and tread water for 1 minute.
Food, beverages, chewing gum and smoking are prohibited in the pool and on the pool apron.
Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and intoxicated individuals are not permitted.
Only properly fitting USCG approved PFD'S, types I, II, or III are authorized during open recreational swimming.
Showers are required before entering the pool.
Running, wrestling, riding on backs and shoulders are prohibited.
Use ladders to exit the pool.
Lifeguards are in charge at all times.
Throwing of any type of object is prohibited.
Proper swim apparel will be worn at all times.
Children, not toilet trained, shall wear swim diapers.
Individuals with communicable diseases, open sores or lesions are prohibited from entering the pool.
All individuals ages 16 and under must take a swim test to be in deep water or on any deep-water attraction.
Pool or aquatic toys must be approved by the lifeguards on duty.
At the lifeguard's discretion, a 15-minute break will be at the top of every hour during open swim.
An emergency telephone is located in the pool office, please ask for assistance.
No breath holding or prolonged underwater swimming.
No pets are allowed in the pool area. (Service dogs escorting persons with disabilities shall be permitted on the pool apron and in the restrooms. Also, working dogs accompanied by handlers shall be permitted in swimming pool areas as required).
